What are Missional Communities?
A missional community is a family of worshippers tangibly demonstrating the effects of the Gospel in their own lives and intentionally declaring the Gospel to those within their sphere of influence.
In short, a missional community is a family of worshippers, adopted and sent.

What is Our Hope?
When thinking of The Vessel, we envision a body of believers with their lives centered on the Gospel. To see this vision fulfilled, we are forced to shift our thinking from church being primarily a Sunday morning experience to seeing the church as individuals and families living out their Gospel Identities on a daily basis. Because of this, The Vessel is designed be a network of missional communities unified in their desire to make disciples who make disciples.

What do We Mean by Missional Community?
Sunday Gatherings
Sunday gatherings are not just a “fill-up” station as they may have been thought of previously. Sundays aren’t optional or second rate, they are the place where our missional communities are celebrating God’s activity, shaped by His Word, and recommissioned to their mission of making disciples every week.
Family Meals
The family meal is when the missional community gathers to share a meal together with Jesus at the center. We use the family meal night as an opportunity to encourage one another, pray together, and cast vision for the mission of the group.
DNA Groups
DNA is where we dig down deep in our care for one another as disciples. We make it a goal to see every committed member of your missional community regularly participating in DNA. DNA is the place where we are formed by God’s word, confess sin, and are committed to one another’s personal growth as followers of Jesus.
Missional Living
We believe that one of the most effective ways to reach the lost in our neighborhoods is to give an accurate portrait of what a Christian community should look like. We do this through two avenues: our Mission and our Third Place Gatherings.
